F.A.Q.

Q: I already have a game. Can I work on that?
A: No. We would like to see all new games at this Game Jam. But you can use existing source code as well as game assets and game ideas in order to create new games from them.

Q: I want to participate, but I cannot manage to be there for the full time. Can I still join?
A: Yes, as long as your team is okay with that you can still join.

Q: Can I join as a one-person-team?
A: Even though this event is catered more towards teams we will certainly not try to stop you. Rock on!

Q: I already have a group of people that I want to jam with. Can we join as group?
A: Yes, groups are welcome. However, we want to have this Game Jam as open and welcoming experience for everyone. Therefore we would ask you to allow others to join your team as well.

Q: I don’t have a group yet. Can I register alone?

A: Absolutely. There will be a group finding part at the beginning of the jam.

Q: I don’t know how to program/make games/… can I still join?
A: Yes you can. However, you should be interested in games in general or in the utilization of games for teaching. There is always the option to create a non-digital game as well!

Q: I want to join but I don’t have an account for or I don’t want to install Discord, Itch.io, Twitch…
A: You can still join, but you will be missing out on a lot of information. Discord also doesn’t need a local installation and offers a web version.

Q: Can I continue to develop my game after the Jam?
A: You are always welcome to continue polishing your game. You will be able to edit your itch.io submission.

Q: I have a question that is not answered here. How can I best reach you?
A: Please join our Discord. There you can ask any questions.
